Aboubakar: "I apologize to my colleagues, the president and the coach"
Cameroon remembers visit to the bathing resort of Besiktas, which brought him several problems. Along the way praises Sérgio Conceição and says that FC Porto of this season is tailored for great things.
Vicent Aboubakar gave an interview to Dragões magazine this week in which he commented on several issues, among them, for example, the controversy around the presence of smiles in the Besiktas resort after the defeat of FC Porto in the Champions League match.
"After the match I went to greet my colleagues at the beach resort. They began to dance, as I used to, and everyone threw themselves upon me. They started to laugh, I could not even, after the defeat of FC Porto, I was really sad. Babel started filming and then did not do it intentionally, "he said.
"It was just to record the fact that we have not seen each other for a long time. I did not go there to do anything and I never thought the outcome would be that. It was not a gesture to hurt whoever it was. But of course I want to apologize again to the president, my colleagues, the leaders, the supporters ... »
The Cameroonian recognizes that this gesture brought him many problems and that even Sérgio Conceição wanted to talk to him to say that he did not like what he saw on social networks.
"Yes," he said, "and I replied that I did not do it on purpose, to shock anyone. I apologized to the coach, my colleagues, the president, the leaders and the supporters. And now, once again, I'm sorry. I did not want to hurt anyone, of course not. "
Now to talk about Sérgio Conceição, it is interesting to say that much of the interview goes through praise from Aboubakar to the coach. He repeats, for example, that it was he who persuaded him to return to FC Porto, phoning him to tell him that he was going to be important in the team.
But there was more: for the forward, the coach changed everything, the team is much more offensive now, the players feel happier and the training has become more demanding, there being a big charge on the part of the coach that the smallest thing is to scream.
"I feel more mature and very different than I was in the other passage for the club. Also because we have a different coach. I have other goals myself, "he said.
"The coach is very objective, of course in the way he explains how he wants us to play. Changed a lot, not just me, the whole team works in a more collective way. I think FC Porto will do great things this season. "
Aboubakar, the writer who is working on a book
In this interview there was also space for revealing more personal aspects, among other things being that Aboubakar does not like to go to the center of Porto.
"Not me, because I do not dominate the city. When I leave the training I go back to the hotel, I take a nap, sometimes I go to the reception to see some television, I get in the others in the car and I go for a walk, "he guarantees.
"But I'm not going downtown, I prefer places with fewer traffic jams, to prevent people from recognizing me because I do not like crowds. I prefer tranquility. Especially Gaia is very calm, the climate is good, the air is pure, nothing polluted, that is, we can do what we like in this life, which is to play football. "
So much free time has also given space for Aboubakar to launch into the arts, he who loves to read inspirational novels, listen to music - from kizomba to classical music - and write, of course. So much so that he is writing a book.
"I am writing a small book in which I try to describe my course, not only football but also philosophical. If it already has title? No, not yet, I have not thought about it yet, but I'm going to look for a good title, "he revealed.
«If I think to edit it? No, I can offer it to some people, but editing it is not a personal book. "
